Once a year you really need to take a vacation from the routine, and if you’re not sure where to go I recommend the Riviera Maya. Its pristine waters and fine sands beaches will make you fall in love with the destination- you may even end up coming back year after year. I have composed a list of five tips to help you relax in the Riviera Maya .
- Forget any and all obligations
Before you start your holiday, leave everything in order so you don’t have to worry about work or personal issues. This is a time for you- take advantage of it.
2. Visit new places
Visiting new places is one of the most recommended therapies for relieving stress. The Riviera Maya has many archaeological sites, beaches and cenotes to swim in –don’t miss the opportunity to discover the natural beauty of this paradise. It is also advisable to schedule in plenty of pool and beach time to give yourself a rest between activities.
3. Visit the Spa
If you’re visiting a resort it most likely has a Spa (the Riviera Maya has some of the best), so don’t hesitate to take advantage of it! Book a relaxing massage or facial or just enjoy the Spa’s relaxation areas. A visit to the Spa is one of the most surefire ways to forget everything for a while.
4. Take advantage of room service
Enjoy a day just for you and don’t leave your suite. Being able to stay in, with no engagements or obligations, will help to free your mind from stress. While in your suite, enjoy the delights of room service offered by your hotel or resort. Some even have light menus to help you detox your body.
5. A sunny day in a hammock
Don’t forget to lay on a hammock under the sun and make the sea breeze your only company. Imagine yourself listening to the waves and nothing else –sounds amazing! Just remember to use plenty of sunblock and stay hydrated.
